The production of the Su-34 takes place at the V.P. Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant, one of the main manufacturing centers for Russian military aviation. These bombers are vital elements for the strike power of Russia’s frontline aviation.

Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of the State Corporation Rostec, emphasized the importance of these deliveries: “Rostec’s aviation companies continue with the scheduled deliveries of military aircraft for 2023. The Su-34 bombers are essential, especially in the Northern Military District zone, where they are widely used. The technical capabilities of the Su-34 allow pilots to perform missions effectively, using both guided and unguided weapons under all operational conditions.”

The Su-34 is designed for precise attacks on ground and air targets, able to operate effectively under enemy fire and electronic countermeasures, in all weather conditions, and at any time of the day or night. This flexibility makes it suitable for destroying infrastructures protected by air defense systems and located far from air bases.

Yuri Slyusar, General Director of UAC, also commented on the increase in aircraft production: “We are expanding production at UAC by optimizing our technological and business processes. Additionally, we are recruiting new employees to increase our production capacity. In Novosibirsk alone, more than 600 new employees have been hired since the beginning of the year.”
